I have been suffering from a sinus infection for at least 6 weeks. I have a couple of days where I feel okay, then BAM ...this morning woke up to both my ears throbbing along with a sore throat.
Since and because Miss Soot sold, I was able to make some Pork Pho. I sure am hoping the healing properties of broth work its magic.
Also made some Vietnamese meat balls!
My Finished Dish, served with a housin sauce flavored with chilies and fish sauce along with soy |
My Pho started with pork neck bones, ginger, garlic cinnamon stick, star of anise, lemon grass paste (gotta grow lemon grass next year) and onion |
Meat balls included pork, ginger, garlic, shallots, salt and pepper, Thai chili, cilantro and thai basil. also threw in some fish sauce and sugar. |
Killed 2 birds with one stone. after I sliglty seared the meat balls I steamed them over the PHO broth. THE BEST balls around, bouncy, juicy and you just wanna pop in your mouth.... |
And because I had some on had, thinly sliced raw steak over my soup, it cooked in the very hot PHO broth |
BIG BOWL OF LOVE AND HEALING POWERS! |
