Kosmo..You are NO UNO!!!

Kosmo, You are NOOOOOOOO UNO (the first beagle to win best in show at the Westminster Kennel Club)!! You are Perhaps an ill mannered MUTT!!
But we love you! You know it seems as if everyone in the neighborhood and every other
speaking being KNEW that BEAGLES WERE....WELL...BEAGLES!! (every one knew but us..)
Now, we love are beagle..(to much maybe..) but boy oh boy......alot of choice words ..(mainly the stuff you can't say when kids around) went into this dog.....But you know..when I thought I was getting a Beagle I thought I was getting Snoopy!! (Why did he seem so calm in the cartoon strip? (Was Charlie Brown In denial? or Was Charlie too calm and Snoopy had to express himself?)
the running off..(not so bad anymore...but he still IS right there when you open the door..you have to be fast like a Kung-fu Master guarding the gates of the Shaolin Temple when leaving the house)
digging out my stuffing and throwing it everywhere..(really does not bother me so much)
Acting like the block captian..MEANING NO ONE CAN WALK PAST OUR HOUSE WITH OUT HIM GOING NUTS..AND THAT INCLUDES ACROSS The STREET..("he has little man syndrome") Kinda reminds me of the troll watching over the bridge, except this all takes place behind a window with a growl that has not bite(DEBATABLE)
Chasing down the kids and playing ROUGH!! (THE NASTY lil booger!!)
tearing up antique shoes..(ones I wanted to use for a dollie..whew, at least I salvaged 1!!)
The claw marks on the door and floor..(Well, Thank God he only goes outside to go potty now!!)
Not much leg room at the bottom of the Bed...(he keeps my feet warm)
All of the Torn up toys from the kids..mostly he will decapitate action hero figures..(that is ok, I am sure they were made from deadly plastic that was imported....)..(I think his digestive system can handle it...he is still here...)
But I must admit, picking up his doo-doo- is remincent of an Easter Egg Hunt with all of the Multi-colors from eating crayons and platic toys.
BUT WHEN YOU TAKE MY MONEY AND RUN!! (didn't the Steve Miller Band have a Song like that???)) wooo--hoooo.....take the money and run....
He ate half of a bar of soap yesterday..so I am sure that cleaned out his system! We have had him now for over a year. Today Hubby checked out a book from the library..and the EXACT QUOTE ABOUT A BEAGLE IS..."Happy, lovable, NAUGHTY little dog that probably shouldn't be kept as a pet, but often is.
Faults: INCLUDE...DESTRUCTIVENESS, DISOBEDIENCE, AND TAKING OFF!!
HOWEVER..I COULD NOT IMAGINE MY LIFE WITH OUT HIM...
LOVE YOU MY LIL

Just food For thought!

Well, just wanted to write you and let you know that I appreciate all of the kind words and prayer..we are getting caught up on everything and it feels great! The whole fam came down with a nasty bug..I think it all stemmed from allergies to the fall ragweed.
I have been working on Halloween stuff like crazy!! just been sewing up a storm it seems, but not really getting anything completely finished. I have even made a Christmas Item..
Here are some pulled beef tostada..I made these about a month back..with some mexican rice and pinto beans..pico da gallo..and some quacamole of course...everything from scratch (including the chips and tostadas!). I love to cook! and I think I like to eat more then I cook :)

Before I started making dolls cooking was my first passion of expression. I think cooking and serving food to others is such an expression of love that you can't say with words. I have always felt that sharing a meal with others is such an intiement moment. Where we can all come together sit down, converse and share thoughts while savoring wonderful flavor..most of which comes from just simple things such as fresh herbs...Vegtables, along with a pinch of salt and pepper

When I did start making dolls alot of the cooking got put on the back burner and we turned to good ole sandwiches most nights. But here lately I just find cooking so relaxing! Just the other night I made my own home lasagna noodles..and ragu from scratch..now that took a long time~~but worth the bonding from rolling out the noodles with the girls!
Here is to a meal with your family this weekend!

Rock Of Ages

Gabby Found this rock in the drive way about a week ago. I could not believe how perfect it was, I even bit into to it to see if it was real ! the edges are so smooth...and perfectly shaped like a heart. It is a simply joy..but to me it was a sign of hope. We are going through THE MOST DIFFICULT time we have ever faced in our marriage. It seems everything we have worked so hard for is about to just slip through our fingers. Almost as if we have hit rock bottom (no pun intended).
However I keep hearing the song run through my head

"CHRIST THE SOLID ROCK WE WILL STAND, ALL OTHER GROUND IS SINKING SAND!"

Half Crazed~ButterFlies~Trick Or Treat

Yikes!!
My title says it all just about...
I have butterflies..for the kiddos..They start back tomorrow. And I have the butterflies..
Why..Because I am excited and thrilled for them. I remember as a kid being so excited about the first day of school..what'cha gonna wear? what kinda friends will you meet?

The orientation went by in a jiffy. Just dropped off our supplies and met the teachers. Christopher's teacher SEEMS SO WONDERFUL! Which is great. It is so hard to believe he is going in 6th grade (he really is supposed to be in 7th) HE did not get held back because he failed. By while in Kindergarten here the first year the teacher thought since he was NEW to the area that it would be best for him to be in kindergarten again (oh, and he did not hold his scissors right) GEEZ oh PETE....OF COURSE I did not know what to do so I listened. You see the first year Christopher atteneded Christian Private school. They were great, they had no problems with him going in the 1st, matter of fact they were more advanced AND SAID HE WAS ADVANCED!!! Then we move to a small town that is half backwards............)grrrrr....babbling..
but in short..iT MIGHT be a great thing. With the Diagnoses of Aspergers and all. Besides he is shorter then most 5th graders ( we are short peeps)
whew rant over!!!
Anywho it seems as if Christophers teacher is going to be great. All in all Chris has had great teachers. There has only been 2 that we have had issues with.
Gabby has ALWAYS had great teachers too..maybe to great. They use to be to "partial" to her. One year I remember being in a meeting and the teacher said "when 'so&so" does somthing I have to yell at them, but when Gabby does it I just can't" She has been teachers pet for years.
As far As Sophia Goes, home one more year unless I can find the money AKA make enough dollies to send her to pre K. She is ready. She can't stand the fact the kids leave and she has to be here during the day.
Last year while the kids were getting on the bus, she tried to get on, when I pulled her away she had a crying fit!! that went out for about 2 weeks until she understood it was her not her time.

GOING ON TO HALF CRAZED
Here IS my Spooky Time Jingles Offering
She is half crazed..but super sweet I think she is channeling me! (if you know me a wee bit that is me)

Next is my Newest Ebay Offering. I tried super hard to get it done for Spooky Time Jingles, but these old bones done move as fast as they use too.

Well, need to paint Miss Gabby's Nails :)
Thanks for stopping by and learning a wee bit more about me

The kids are back from Nana's. They were the ones calling and begging me to come GET them which took me by suprise, I really thought it would be my mom at her wits ends calling me to come get the kids.

Where The Grass Grows

Yesterday as I was driving down Main Street I noticed all the way down in the middle of the road where the pavement had cracked and flourishing forth and thriving was bright green grass. I thought this was one of the most beautiful things that I had seen. I saw this as a comparison of us. How we can thrive in terrible circumstances...not only just barely there to wither, wilt and fade away..BUT TO FLOURISH..To grow where you are planted.

I snapped this pic on  S. 2nd Street in Desoto..

Tribute to Metaphysical Surrealist ~Giorgio De Chirco

On Ebay Now.....

"The Melancholy And Mystery Of A Circus" is the the title of the painting. My husband painted it...I altered it a wee bit....
Inspired by Giogrio De Chirco an Itallian Artist who did surrealism.
Major Italian painter, who founded the metaphysical school. He was born in Volos, Greece, the son of an Italian engineer. He studied art in Athens and in Munich, where he was strongly influenced by the allegorical works of the 19th-century Swiss painter Arnold Böcklin. In Turin and Florence and in Paris, where he settled in 1911, he painted deserted cityscapes, such as Enigma of an Autumn Night (1910) and Mystery and Melancholy of a Street (1914). These early metaphysical works, through sharp contrasts of light and shadow and exaggerated perspective, evoke a haunting, ominous dream world. As an army conscript in Ferrara in 1915 de Chirico met the futurist painter Carlo Carrà; together they founded the magazine Pittura Metafisica in 1920. From 1915 to 1925 de Chirico painted bizarre, faceless mannequins and juxtaposed wildly unrelated objects in his still lifes, a technique adopted by the surrealists. From 1924 to 1930 de Chirico gave enormous impetus to the surrealist movement and influenced such surrealists as Yves Tanguy and Salvador Dalí. By the mid-1930s he had turned to an outworn academic style and chose to become a fashionable portraitist.
