The Last Day Of The Year ~*2008*~

Well, My Friends...Another Year has come and gone. Reflecting back really just makes me scratch my head. I am baffled how fast time goes. I know I have been saying this for years..but it really amazes me.
I am really excited about 2009! It seems when a New Year comes it as if a baptism takes place. All of the past years wrongs are easily forgotten with a with second hand that makes the clock strike Midnight.
At the stroke of Midnight as the ball drops a kiss will be had, the confetti will fly and a toast to bring in the New Year will complete a tradition.
May the Year of 2009 bring you continued Health, Joy and Prosperity.
From My family to Yours,
Happy New year!

Houston, We have Clean Laundry.....

Houston, we are ready to launch (with dirty laundry) that is.
WOW!!

My husband and I are pretty simple folks. ( I think mainly do to the lack of money flow....) We got our first wash machine nearly 14 years ago.

Well...
IT WENT OUT.

Grandma being very SCRUBBY DUTCH had to have just about the biggest and best there was to offer.
I am use to a Wash machine with 3 settings. Hot, cold, warm. Then 3 water levels : Low, Medium, Large
WELL
with our new wash'machine thanks to Granny (we love you grandma) the probability is 450 ways we can have our laundry done! I ain't no rocket scientiest (how ever I did work for a professor who did the mathmatics on an robotic arm nasa used and typed documents for the NSF ~ NO JOKE....) ( AND I am sure you know why I don't have that job anymore~ i cnat PSELL!) (btw, I quit)
Whelp, here is to learning me to use the new wash'machine Granny bought and to clean smelling clothes!
Have a great weekend

~*~Picture Day~*~

A few months back Grandma Bought the kids some wonderful outfits. I thought the next gorgeous fall day I would go out and take some pictures of the kids. I was starting to panic because the leaves were slow to turn..and we have had lots of rainy days...but this past Saturday God painted a beautiful backdrop...The kids got fresh hair cuts...put on new clothes and we headed off to the local state park. I took nearly 300 pictures and narrowed it down to 60. There is a slide show for you to see....

We had a blast! The kids are growing up so fast!

Thanks for taking a look..have a wonderful week ahead!

Things I love

~~Things I love~~

A kid (toddler) with a snotty face :)

A kid with dirt all over his/her face

A kid with messed up bed head hair ( the ones that look like they brushed their hair with a pillow)

A kid with chubby fingers grabbing something out of curisoity

A screen door closing

A perfectly ripened sweetend peach

a good cup of coffee on a brisk morning

the birds and squirls in my yard

Motivation to make something

Motivation to clean

Harmony in my house (when all kids are playing nice....)

when the wind blows and curtain will sail back

the cricket and locust chirping

leaves falling freely to the ground in a rainbow of oranges and yellows

The dafodils that line my driveway and the fragent smell they put out.

Growing fresh herbs and cooking with them

Being able to lift someone up..to help, love and nurture

to be honest with somebody close to you even when you think you may lie to yourself

the small moment when everything is all caught up and done when I can breath a sigh of relief

being able to breath freely..to have a roof to cover my head and food to put in my belly

The unfailing mystery of God's word and promises!

to appreciate the small things

These are some of the small things that make me smile :)

~~These are some of my favorite things!~~

I was RELENTLESS!!

Gabby and I learning how to be relentless
My new life long friends
From Left to right
Stephanie, Chasity
then of course Gabby and I
Perspective from a 9 year old taking notes as Joyce was teaching
I am so proud of Gabby.

Relentless:

Definition: Existing or occurring without interruption or end.

Synonyms: around-the-clock, ceaseless, constant, continuous, endless, eternal, everlasting, incessant, interminable, nonstop, ongoing, perpetual, persistent, round-the-clock, timeless, unceasing, unending, unfailing, uninterrupted, unremitting

~~~~
Well, all I can say is awesome! the whole trip is a great testimony! in my previous post like I said I did not think that I was going to go. I was low on money and did not have anyone to go with
A few weeks ago I had gotten an email from someone who had seen my YouTube video of the conference last year. She was coming in town by herself and wanted to know if I would meet up with so she would not have to go alone.
I never wrote her back, because again I just did not plan on going because of lack of funds.
Wednesday Morning I thought to myself, Well I can at least attend Thursday night's meeting. I wrote the lady and asked if we could meet.
She said yes and she even had room in her hotel if I wanted to stay with her and her friend. I told her I just did not have the money, she said I could stay free of charge.
Gabby has wanted to attend a Conference for the longest so I brought her along too. I needed to get downtown early to purchase another ticket. I had given Gabby the choice of either a halloween costume, or to go the Joyce Meyers Convention, she said she wanted to go the Convention.
Once downtown I found my way to the place where to purchase a ticket. I asked a lady waiting at the door if this is where I needed to be. She asked me if I had all ready purchased the ticket and just needed to pick it up, I said I need to buy one. SHE HANDED ME A TICKET FOR FREE!! she conveyed to me her daughter was not able to go. I started to cry..Gave her a hug and walked away in somewhat of a daze amazed at God's Grace!!
I met the ladies I was going to stay at in a hotel in Illinois. It was as if we were long time friends, never any akward feelings ever! I felt like I could be me. Gabby had a blast and my new found Friends, Stephanie and Chasity are going to be life long friends!
Here is a youtube video I have made, turn down the volume on the side of the page from the music, or you can directly link to Youtube to watch ;)
Here is to being relentless! I am not going to let another year go by where I don't do anything for the kingdom!
Kosmo..You are NO UNO!!!
Kosmo, You are NOOOOOOOO UNO (the first beagle to win best in show at the Westminster Kennel Club)!! You are Perhaps an ill mannered MUTT!!
But we love you! You know it seems as if everyone in the neighborhood and every other
speaking being KNEW that BEAGLES WERE....WELL...BEAGLES!! (every one knew but us..)
Now, we love are beagle..(to much maybe..) but boy oh boy......alot of choice words ..(mainly the stuff you can't say when kids around) went into this dog.....But you know..when I thought I was getting a Beagle I thought I was getting Snoopy!! (Why did he seem so calm in the cartoon strip? (Was Charlie Brown In denial? or Was Charlie too calm and Snoopy had to express himself?)
the running off..(not so bad anymore...but he still IS right there when you open the door..you have to be fast like a Kung-fu Master guarding the gates of the Shaolin Temple when leaving the house)
digging out my stuffing and throwing it everywhere..(really does not bother me so much)
Acting like the block captian..MEANING NO ONE CAN WALK PAST OUR HOUSE WITH OUT HIM GOING NUTS..AND THAT INCLUDES ACROSS The STREET..("he has little man syndrome") Kinda reminds me of the troll watching over the bridge, except this all takes place behind a window with a growl that has not bite(DEBATABLE)
Chasing down the kids and playing ROUGH!! (THE NASTY lil booger!!)
tearing up antique shoes..(ones I wanted to use for a dollie..whew, at least I salvaged 1!!)
The claw marks on the door and floor..(Well, Thank God he only goes outside to go potty now!!)
Not much leg room at the bottom of the Bed...(he keeps my feet warm)
All of the Torn up toys from the kids..mostly he will decapitate action hero figures..(that is ok, I am sure they were made from deadly plastic that was imported....)..(I think his digestive system can handle it...he is still here...)
But I must admit, picking up his doo-doo- is remincent of an Easter Egg Hunt with all of the Multi-colors from eating crayons and platic toys.
BUT WHEN YOU TAKE MY MONEY AND RUN!! (didn't the Steve Miller Band have a Song like that???)) wooo--hoooo.....take the money and run....
He ate half of a bar of soap yesterday..so I am sure that cleaned out his system! We have had him now for over a year. Today Hubby checked out a book from the library..and the EXACT QUOTE ABOUT A BEAGLE IS..."Happy, lovable, NAUGHTY little dog that probably shouldn't be kept as a pet, but often is.
Faults: INCLUDE...DESTRUCTIVENESS, DISOBEDIENCE, AND TAKING OFF!!
HOWEVER..I COULD NOT IMAGINE MY LIFE WITH OUT HIM...
LOVE YOU MY LIL
Just food For thought!
Well, just wanted to write you and let you know that I appreciate all of the kind words and prayer..we are getting caught up on everything and it feels great! The whole fam came down with a nasty bug..I think it all stemmed from allergies to the fall ragweed.
I have been working on Halloween stuff like crazy!! just been sewing up a storm it seems, but not really getting anything completely finished. I have even made a Christmas Item..
Here are some pulled beef tostada..I made these about a month back..with some mexican rice and pinto beans..pico da gallo..and some quacamole of course...everything from scratch (including the chips and tostadas!). I love to cook! and I think I like to eat more then I cook :)
Before I started making dolls cooking was my first passion of expression. I think cooking and serving food to others is such an expression of love that you can't say with words. I have always felt that sharing a meal with others is such an intiement moment. Where we can all come together sit down, converse and share thoughts while savoring wonderful flavor..most of which comes from just simple things such as fresh herbs...Vegtables, along with a pinch of salt and pepper
When I did start making dolls alot of the cooking got put on the back burner and we turned to good ole sandwiches most nights. But here lately I just find cooking so relaxing! Just the other night I made my own home lasagna noodles..and ragu from scratch..now that took a long time~~but worth the bonding from rolling out the noodles with the girls!
Here is to a meal with your family this weekend!
