The conference was just AWESOME. There was a record number of 28 thousand WOMEN there.

An Angel in the Making...

Well, I am working on my Angel For Ava Grace. I could not be happier at this point with the way she is turning out. I started with an old antique Tin Minvera Head and restored it. (it was completely spotty where the paint had been rubbed off)However, I did not touch up her hair, just the face. Then I designed a body, arms and legs. I fashioned her wings out of feathers and wired them together I may add another feather or two in there. Now, today I need to design a dress. I have been searching the web, going through my dollie books to find how I would like to make it. Going through my fabric bins to find the right fabric....

Hello Ladies..
Well, it is almost time for The anual Joyce Meyer's Womens Convention..this will be the 25 year. The theme this year is PURPOSE AND PASSION. The Dates are September 20-22.

I went last year for the first time and all I can say AMAZING. Last year the theme was The Confident Woman. If you have not all ready purchased your ticket PLEASE DO!! I would love to meet you there. Delirious Will be playing Praise and Worship along with CeCe Winans (Remeber her, she sang with Melinda Dolittle on the Grand Finale of American Idol?) And let me say, I have seen Delirous in Concert, they rock!

Yup, this is the town I live in

Ok, Folks..this is the kind of a town I live in..(you may need to turn the music down at the bottom of the page so you can watch this video, or you can directly link to youtube to watch ;)

This also made Nation wide news, I was just sitting on my couch and Shepard Smith on Fox News comes on and I hear the story. I had all ready heard the story earlier through the local news. He closed out his broadcast with this report! I just about fell down in laughter! Just to give you a hint of what is going on, the title of the video is called "Naked Bandit does The Hula.."

The past 2 weeks

Well, it sure has been a hard few weeks. I did not have a vehicle to drive for over 2 weeks. One would have thought that perhaps I would have gotten more stuff done. However, not in my case. I tried to keep up on the house, but it seemed no matter how much laundry I did there was still another mountain to wash. No matter how many times I cooked and cleaned everyone was still hungry and there was a pile of dishes. I think another added factor is THE DAWG! Wow, He is a handful. He has learned to leap over the kitchen gates running a muck in the house. On the upside Christopher and Gabby have started back to school. I also got an original doll listed. It is a cloudy rainy day here which I embrace fully. I think the heat is starting to get to me. Never ever have I remembered being in such a dry hot spell AND I AM FROM TEXAS..But here in the St.louis area it is going down as one of the hottest months of August in history.
Well, much to do this weekend I look foward to getting back to normal and into a groove!

I have been holding on to these pics for a while, the tater salad and ribs are from Mothers day taken at my Mom's house (I decorted the tater salad, nice, huh?), as well as my Christopher plugging Coca~Cola. Can't ya tell I am a FOOD JUNKIE! I love good fresh food, add some good company and life is yummy:)

I will Walk by Faith and Not by Sight...

Last night before I fell asleep I felt God's overwhelming love pour over me. I have been far off for over a month from God (not reading the word, going to church, listening or watching any word..)But yet there God was telling me "I love you..." In my heart I just felt that someone was interceeding for me. I could not help but just to praise him. These past few years have been hard. I do struggle with issues in my life. I have the very "worldy" Heidi of me, then there is the part of me that just wants to drop everything and tell everyone about Jesus and what peace there is in his word. I have struggled with finding a balance in my life.

But this morning, I was reading a post and someone had replied to me Romans 8:37, so I grabbed my bible and when I opened it up IT WAS ON THAT PAGE, I opend right up to it. I just feel it was an Angel guiding my hands to open it there. This just spoke to me about my circumstance...because my problems do not defy me, Christ does. I am MORE THEN A CONQUERORS, I am victorious through Christ.


You know, a few months back I was driving and I began to get overwhelmed with emotions at the fact that when God sees me, he sees JESUS and he is not holding my sins over my head, HE JUST SEES THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRIST..it just blew me away. You see, I know we all fall short and I am not a very pleasant person sometimes and I have struggled with _________. I use to "punish myself" by not going to church or not getting into the word when I did bad things..BUT THAT DAY FOR WHAT EVER REASON I UNDERSTOOD I DON'T HAVE TO DO THAT..by doing that I was doing myself more harm, but also by doing that it is like saying.."well, what Jesus did was not enough, " THAT IS A LIE!! our battlefield is in our mind!!

God Speaks to us through his word. You know it took me a long time to understand Faith is a verb, something you have to do! Faith is the substance of things hoped for but not yet seen. My prayer life has really changed too..I know longer beg God to move in my life, because I know that he all ready has, I just ask once and thank him for it even if I don't have it. God is not moved by our begging and pleading ~ He is moved by his word ~ And when you knows God's word and speak it to him THE BIBLE says IT WILL NOT RETURN VOID!! But so many of us just don't know what God's word says or what we have in it ~

I have had to learn not lean unto my understandings about a circumstance, and that a circumstance should never rule me. God is the same yesterday, today and forever!

I just want to say thank you for all of the ladies who minister to me through there blogs..

Eating Good in the Neighborhood

This was just to yummy! It was a wonderful Antipasto I made the other night..it was so much fun and the snacking went on for hours!

I did not even know I was Expecting!!

I did not even know I was expecting..I mean, I knew I was gaining weight and I was tired and had severe mood swings, but HONESTLY I did not know. My nights have been filled with getting up in the middle of the night because of crying. A baby that wants to be held, first shots and who can forget all of that poop!!
So, how did the baby come about? Well, it went a little something like this.. I was having some pains. Like I needed something more in life so I went to the store and got a local paper and there it was beagle pups 6 weeks old..
With out further ado, here is my new baby, he is a little hairy and has 4 legs ...Meet Kosmo (named after Krammer in Seinfield)
My big question is now, when will I lose the baby weight?

This Morning, I was looking around and saw that I had some Hydrangea, and green grapes, then my eyes started to scan my entire house for "green" things...here is just a few things I found. What is your favorite green thing? Why do you like green, when you see green what do you feel? For me it seems to represent new life and beginings...

I like green....I like the green grass and trees, Froggies and water lillies, Wasabi and cilantro are so yummy...Can't forget the paint "English Green Ivy" Green lights are nice too, it means I can go with out slowing down and never once did green make me frown...

A Parisian Angel For Brianna

Hello, I am so honored, humbled and blessed to be a part of this. With much heartfelt emotions

I present to you "My Angel For Brianna" I followed Iva's log about Brianna, and I knew Brianna wanted to Visit Paris. Thus, my inspiration for this doll. A Parisian Angel With Paper Wings and Hat. I have collaged, stamped and printed various Parisian images and script to make the paper sewn wings and hat. The body is simply a Heart. On the close up of the picture it says "Look With Your Heart and Not Your Eye's" In French. In all Honesty I love this, because when we do, it is the Human Emotion of Hurt, Happiness, and Sorrow that makes us feel connected to one another with out even knowing someone. We are all the same just with differnt circumstaces. We are connected with one another by an emotion. Thus, feeling a bond of closeness that when they are hurting you are hurting, when they are happy you happy. Alot of People will tell you "Money Makes the World Go Around..." I personally feel it is compassion that makes the world go around. The measurements are from wing tip to wing tip 25 inches. From top to bottom 18 inches.

~What the funds will be used for
The funds for this auction will be used for funeral expenses, an oil painting memorial and a contribution to the National Art Honor Society. This Honor Society is a group that Brianna formed at her high school. She started it in September 2006, right before getting sick in October.

We Played!!

I played instead of doing work yesterday

We went to Grants Farm (owned by Anheuserbush)

It is just the right size, not to big nor to small, but we did have to sit in traffic for over an hour! they said it had never been so busy..

I am so happy! I enjoyed the day with my kids..this they will remember, and not me checking my emails or sewing, painting, laundry..etc...

As far as today goes, I woke up with butterflies in my stomach! I love the 4th. Gonna take me a quick bath have some coffee and go to the parade. We still have not decided if I will cook this year..since I played yesterday I do have to work somewhat!

Should I work? Or should I Play...

Today is just a perfect day here in the midwest..low humidity and a gentle breeze flowing ~
It is 10:00 in the AM and I am at a point of making a very important decision..Should I work (which I am in the groove and there is not a shortage of things to be done...)Or should I drop it all go do something with the kids...

I have yet put the "bug" in their ear about doing something..I just feel so torn. They are only going to be little once..but I have got so much work to do.. and I have deadlines...
